Fana, Baqa, and Being Human
with Murshid Rahmat Moore
Online via Zoom
Two Saturdays ~ September 14 and 21
10:00 - 11:30 am Pacific / UTC -7
In this two-class series we will address an essential paradox; how we let go of self-identity (Fana) and at the same time discover the universe manifesting through us (Baqa). In some sense these poles represent two aspects of our Sufi path: Ilm (wisdom), and Ishq (love). Together we will explore these two beautiful aspects of the One.
The further I go on this path the more compassion I have for the challenging human job of trying to be “somebody” holding it all together in a difficult world. Ironically when we can accept the inherent brokenness we each have within us, a wholeness can emerge and further a sense of connection with all living beings.
