About Mariam:
Mariam Baker, spiritual midwife, energy weaver, mother of five children, is a dedicated student of embodied spirituality. She is interested in practical tools for personal and planetary growth and healing - a way of mysticism that is interwoven with everyday life.
Initiated in the Inayati Chistia lineage of Sufism through Hazrat Inayat Khan and Murshid Samuel Lewis, she is student and friend of the late Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Moineddin Jablonski. She received Moineddin's transmission to continue SoulWork, a marriage of psychological and spiritual tools that opens pathways to the integration of being.

Ya Fattah to our continuing journey together. YA FATTAH is the practice Murshid Mariam suggests we take up for the next week. This beautiful sound invocation is often translated 'The Opener’. Murshid SAM coupled the sound with the movement of hands on the heart YA, and opening them outwardly with the sound FATTAH! Of course, the meaning of Ya Fattah is embedded in the vibration and direct experience this beautiful name invokes. YA FATTAH! Try it out loud 33X or 101X, then on the flow of the breath. Enjoy!

This practice can be done sitting(as described below), standing, and going into a full prostration. Enjoy.
Ya Allah
'In Love, Reverence, and Humility’ Raise up arms, hands open and receptive "
'I Surrender To Thee and To Thee Alone, Bow your head toward your heart, hands on thighs/knees
(If you are doing a full prostration, then stay on your knees for further repetitions)
‘And Thou Dost Raise Me Spiritually’ Rising, surrendered, empty of self. Arms and hands open and receptive. Ready to Repeat.
