Tuning the Heart

A time for Renewal and Reflection

with Murshid Allaudin Ottinger

"If there could be a definition of spirituality, it is the tuning of the heart, tuning means the changing of the pitch of the vibration. The tuning of the heart means the changing of vibrations in order that one may reach a certain pitch. That is the natural pitch, then one feels the joy and ecstasy of life, which enables one to give pleasure to others, even by one’s presence, because one is tuned." - Sufi Inayat Khan

A Note from Allaudin:

Please join me in tuning the heart as we turn towards this New Year. Through lineage practice, we tune with sound, music, silence, breath, and more.

We will explore teachings from Murshid SAM's Bestowal of Blessing and how they apply to the current state of the world. , we will attune to inspired sayings from Hazrat Inayat Khan and Hadith from Prophet Mohammed (PBOH). Inshallah, inspired musical friends may also join us.

Come, Come!

  • Dear friends,

Thank you for your presence and participation in Murshid Allaudin's first session in the series: Tuning the Heart: A Time for Renewal and Reflection.

Thanks to Allaudin and friends for sweet musical tuning of the heart along with prayer and sacred phrases flowing in the river of guidance of our lineage.

Alhamdulillah! We look forward to continuing our journey together in the next class.

"What is the greatest need of the world?

This question may be answered in innumerable ways and yet a Sufi might say that the need is for more love and also for more life." ~Murshid Samuel Lewis

  • Dear Friends,

What a beautiful space Allaudin and friends created and shared with us through heart practices and music.

It's good medicine to be together in the tuning and communion of hearts.

"May we all benefit with our hands open wide, perhaps forehead to the ground, asking for guidance." Murshid Allaudin

Prayer for the New Year from Hazrat Inayat Khan

    most Merciful and Compassionate God,

    Lord of Heaven and Earth,

we forgive others their trespasses and ask Thy forgiveness of our shortcomings.

We begin the New Year with pure heart and clear conscience, with courage and hope.

Help us to fulfil the purpose of our lives under Thy divine guidance.
