Heart Wisdom: Lineage Teachings For Everyday Life
with Pir Shabda Kahn
Join us for a two-week course with Pir Shabda Kahn on awakening Heart Wisdom and cultivating skillful means in service to this awakening.
A Note from Pir Shabda:
The heart of our Ruhaniat lineage path invites us to fully realize our true nature. Through breath, sound, concentration, and attitude we cultivate loving-kindness, compassion, strength, courage, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, and other attributes of the Beloved.
In this course, we will invoke the Heart Wisdom that tunes us to universal responsibility and sacred service Toward the One.
About Pir Shabda:
On February 27, 2001, Shabda Kahn was appointed Pir (lineage holder) of the Sufi Ruhaniat International in the stream of the great mystic Hazrat Inayat Khan, his disciple, Murshid Samuel Lewis, and his successor, Pir Moineddin Jablonski.

A note from Pir Shabda:
For the week let's continue the practice of Muhasabah through the wazifa pair YA HASIB YA TAWWAB, in tune with the “10 Days of T’shuva” that happen between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. (This year September 16-25).
Further we can continue the meditation practice offered by Murshid Sam in the KARUNA YOGA GITA (attached HERE)
Looking forward to the flowing River of Guidance next week with you.
Much love,
Shabda
From Physicians of the Heart:
Muhasibah is the practice of taking an honest accounting of oneself while never forgetting that you are within the ocean of Divine Mercy
Ya Hasib ~ the action of accounting for the full meaning of everything. This means taking full responsibility for one's actions, words, and thoughts. To become completely accountable.
Ya Tawwab ~ forgiveness that enables you to turn back toward the light of your true nature and away from the shadow of perceived defects. It comes with the realization that the divine beloved is always turning toward you, continually offering a gaze of deep forgiveness and endless compassion.
An excerpt from the The Karuna Gita, containing the practice suggested by Pir Shabda, is attached to this email. The complete Karuna Yoga Gita (by Murshid SAM) can be found on the web hub.

From: Volume XI - Philosophy, Psychology and Mysticism, Part III: Mysticism, Ch. XIV The realization of the true ego.
[…] All methods by which humanity tries to bring about better conditions fail if the psychology of the ego is not studied. Hardly anyone gives it a thought. In working for the construction of a new civilization many efforts are being made regardless of this principle secret of life. In the same reconstruction a great deal of cruelty is taken place, yet all think that they are doing it for the best of humanity. But no false ego can ever do anything for the best of humanity. One person who has risen above the false ego can do much more for the good of humanity than a thousand people blinded by their false ego, pretending to do good. Too many people before having any idea of what to do about it, come forward and say that they want to do something good for humanity; and everybody's way of doing good is different. This may seem strange and yet if we look at life with open eyes we see a thousand examples of it. In the name of reconstruction, of bringing good to the world, of changing life's conditions, what methods people adopt! The reason is because they have begun the work of doing good too soon; one must know what kindness is before trying to be kind. […]
